Valid Reasons for canceling a reservation as a Host without adverse consequences

It is crucial to emphasize that Hosts must refrain from canceling for any reason that contravenes our policies.

Recognizing that cancellations may be inevitable in certain situations beyond the Host's control, if a Host needs to cancel for a valid reason, we will collaborate with them to assist their Producers in finding alternative accommodations. In such cases, the Host will not face cancellation fees or other repercussions for canceling.

Valid reasons for cancellation include:

• Situations outside the Host's influence, such as significant damage to a space, emergency repairs (e.g., a fire, a gas leak or burst pipe), or severe personal illness preventing access to the host services.
• Evidence that a Producer plans to violate one of the rules specified in the Listing details, organize an unauthorized party, or otherwise infringe upon our policies.
• An Extenuating Circumstance, such as declared emergencies, epidemics, or government-imposed travel restrictions.

To cancel in one of these situations, a Host may be required to submit proof. For example, they might be asked to provide photos, videos, and other documentation in the case of emergency repairs, or a letter from a doctor in the case of serious personal illness.
